Yeah, that’s right! I’m doing energy bites!
They take 5 minutes to make and are the favorite cousin of protein bars. I also have a few alternative ingredients, but my favorite is definitely peanut butter chocolate.

Note: Keep in mind, depending on the consistency of your nut butter, and size of the oats, you may need to add more or less oats/peanut butter.
Peanut Butter Chocolate Energy Bites
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup peanut butter or another nut butter if you prefer
- 1/2 cup oats old fashioned rolled oats are recommended
- 1/2 tsp honey or pure 100% maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 handful chocolate chips or maybe 2 or 3 if you prefer
- 1 dash ground cinnamon
- 1 pinch sea salt
- 2 tbsp crushed walnuts optional
Instructions
- Add half the oats.
- Add the peanut butter.
- Add the rest of the oats (this makes it easier to mix).
- Mix.
- Add honey or maple syrup, vanilla, cinnamon, and sea salt, then mix!
- Add in the walnuts and fold in the chocolate chips until you reach the desired amount.
- (Make sure your hands are definitely clean or even wear gloves. Be prepared to wash your hands.)
- Roll into bite sizes.
- Enjoy as is or put individually into plastic wrap (to separate them), drop into a plastic bag, and refrigerate (heck, freeze them if you want)! Enjoy!
