10. Fudgy Brownies: Brownies are always delicious. I don’t have them often but they’re always pleasing when I have the opportunity to eat them. I don’t have a favorite recipe, and there are so many varieties you can make from scratch, or from a box. I highly recommend one my dad made (I don’t know the recipe but I will post it when I get the link or credit, and you don’t need to use the exact recipe). It had chocolate chips in it, and I love to top it with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce.
9. Chocolate Chip Cookies: From my grandmother, my mom has a recipe for chocolate chip cookies from scratch, and the cookies are INCREDIBLE. I don’t believe I will ever find a better recipe. Chocolate chip cookies have always been, and will always be one of my favorite treats in existence.
8. S’mores: I hadn’t had smores in so long, when this year my mom bought s’mores ingredients, and I was re-introduced to them. It’s not only the taste, but the mix of the crunchy graham crackers, gooey soft marshmallows, and the melted chocolate combined into a warm, comforting food concoction is always a satisfying delight.
7. Ice Cream: The classic cold treat perfect in summer is always delicious. You can customize it to whatever treat you want. I always love ice cream, especially from local ice cream and gelato shops!
6. Snow Cones: My first time having a snow cone was at the beach. Sometimes as a treat, if you bring a few dollars, my elementary school would have snow cone/ice cream trucks. And… For a while I asked for an ice cream machine (as a semi-joke) for my birthday, and any holiday. After a while, I asked for a snow cone machine. That was the constant for several years, until recently, my brother, winning the best sibling ever award, got me one for the holidays. Now my family and I make them all the time. It’s amazing. 5. Water Ice/Italian Ice: The difference between the two is that italian ice is creamier and water ice is more icy, but I love them both. I don’t have much to say but I’m always happy eating them.
4. Chocolate Chip Cookie Filled Cupcakes: These are SO good. I made some and they’re incredible (if I may say so myself). Here’s the recipe, try it out… if you want. (Not forcing you) – https://anziepineapple.com/?p=218
3. Tarts: I love tarts, they come in many varieties. It consists of a crust that goes along the sides and bottom and is filled with fruit and custard. For one of my birthdays, my dad made me a citrus tart (I love citrus <3). Tarts are lighter than most cakes and have a refreshing taste.
2. Carrot Cake: Carrot cakes are some of my absolute favorite kinds of cakes EVER. The first time I believe I had one was a Carrot Cake Cupcake from Panera Bread (I don’t believe they have it anymore, sadly). It was life changing. That year my dad (again, because he’s an amazing baker and dad) made a carrot cake for my 7th birthday. I love having the cake with the carrot taste, and we added raisins I believe, and cream cheese icing. How can you not love it? (I mean, if you do, it’s fine that’s your opinion 🙂 )
1. Cheesecake: Okay, let me get this straight, cheesecake is maybe my overall favorite. For the past few years I’ve had different cheesecakes for my birthday: Twix candy cheesecake, citrus cheesecake, lemon blueberry cheesecake etc. Cheesecake can usually be described as creamy, refreshing, and relatively balanced and rich. I have never experienced a time where I see a cheesecake without my mouth watering immediately.
